January Knit Along: Maakin for the MRI

Are you excited? Because Anne is very excited! She’s been talking about the Harriet’s Collection of patterns for months and months now and finally will be hosting a knit along in partnership with Jana of Purl Together, a video podcast over on YouTube.

The details:
Scroll down, listen to the podcast and watch Jana’s episode. We introduce the KAL in both!
The knit along will run January 1-31, 2020.
To participate, visit the MRI Maaker’s website and choose one (or more!) of the Harriet’s Collection patterns to knit in the knit along. Proceeds from the pattern sales go to the Shetland MRI Scanner Appeal, a charity group raising money to acquire an MRI scanner for Shetland to save the residents a long, uncomfortable, often worry-filled trip to the mainland for this basic test.
Jana and Anne will both be producing how-to videos on various techniques you may need help with. Subscribe to Purl Together and I Thought I Knew How on YouTube so you don’t miss them!
They will be randomly choosing prize winners at various points of the month for casting on by the first Saturday, posting progress photos, and finishing! To enter, you will need to post proof of your knitting at the appropriate points on the knit along thread on Ravelry (Link coming! Check back, or join the Purl Together group now), so be sure to join up now so you don’t miss out!

Thank you to Morehouse Farm, Ashcroft Makers and Merrily by Design for contributing prizes for the knit along. Details on those prizes and the finisher’s prize are on the way!

If anyone else would like to contribute a prize, be in touch!

Many thanks to Jana of Purl Together for already being such a powerhouse of a co-host! Be sure to check out her channel on YouTube for her previous KALs, technique videos, and her podcast!
