Stitch N'Pitch is coming to Hartford!

Pack your project bag and mark your calendars! Stitch N’Pitch is coming to Dunkin’ Park in Hartford, Connecticut on Saturday, August 17, 2024!

Join Anne Frost, host of the I Thought I Knew How podcast and long-time fan of public crafting in ballparks, to see the Hartford Yard Goats take on the Somerset Patriots at 6:10 pm! All fiber crafters are welcome for this family-friendly event. Bring your non-crafting friends, too! (Maybe we will convert them!)

It will be a special night at Dunkin’ Donuts Park as the Yard Goats play in their Los Chivos uniforms and honor baseball legend Roberto Clemente with fireworks after the game!

All tickets come with a $2 credit for your game-day concessions at the stadium, just show your ticket’s barcode when you order. Plus, all Stitch N’Pitch ticket holders who attend on the day can visit the Stitch N’Pitch booth to enter to win one of 9 inning prizes sponsored by LumosLumos and area yarn stores such as The Yarn Barn and Ewe and You Fiber Arts. Opt for a Premium Ticket and visit the Stitch N’Pitch booth to claim a swag bag filled with gifts from event sponsors Uradale Yarns, Unicorn Clean, I Thought I Knew How Podcast, Clover, KnitPro, and designer Hilly van Der Sluis.

What if it rains or the game is delayed for another reason?

The Stitch N’ Pitch aspect of the event is rain or shine. Even if it rains, the stadium will be open for you to come claim your swag bag and enter for the inning prizes. REGARDLESS OF THE WEATHER, IF THE STADIUM IS OPEN, ALL SWAG BAGS WILL BE DISTRIBUTED AS PLANNED AND THE INNING PRIZE DRAWING WILL TAKE PLACE ON AUGUST 17, 2024.

The Hartford Yarn Goats will reschedule games delayed due to weather and your ticket will be valid for the rescheduled game.

This event is hosted by Anne Frost of the I Thought I Knew How Podcast, not the Hartford Yard Goats. Two weeks before the event, the Yard Goats will send Anne access to the digital tickets and Anne will send them to you via email at that point. If you have not received your tickets by a week before the event, check your spam and junk folders of your email account. If you still don’t see them, send an email to

If you order 4 tickets, you will automatically get 4 tickets together. But if you are coming along with your whole embroidery group, everyone can order their own tickets. Then, please have ONE PERSON email with the names of everyone in your group. Anne will do her best to assign you all together in the same area of the stands, but she cannot promise that this will happen.

You can cancel your tickets until July 31, 2024, for a full refund. However, because of how the tickets are managed for this event, we cannot make refunds after July 31, 2024. If you have a change of plans after July 31, you can sell or gift your ticket to someone else. Anne Frost, I Thought I Knew How LLC, and the Hartford Yard Goats are not responsible for secondary ticket sales, so please only deal with a trusted friend.

If we told you, that would spoil the surprise! Generally speaking, our lovely sponsors have provided yarn, needles, hooks, notions, wool wash, and a knitting pattern that will come in a cotton tote bag with the event logo printed on it. There will be some variation in the contents of the bags, but they will all have contain a variety of items for a variety of fiber crafts, and will have a retail value of at least $50.
